Ladies, a penny for your thoughts?

How would you be liked to be described as by your beautiful little (future) babies? I’m sure the most common answers would be- beautiful, smart, caring, warm, funny, and synonyms alike.

But, imagine them labeling you as ‘a scary mommy’, just like Twinkle Khanna’s daughter did!

Twinkle Khanna, lovingly known as Mrs. Funnybones, famous for her sense of humor, took the incident to Twitter and openly admitted to being called as a scary mommy.

Her tweet did not take much time to become a source of inspiration for me! So, here’s a  letter to all the ‘scary’ mommies from our modern-age girls:

Dear scary mommy,

I love you to death, but sometimes your raised eyebrows and angry tone can put the three-tailed devil to shame. Whenever you used to force-feed me my green veggies, I would chomp on them with silent destitution. Although, I always managed to smile when I was secretly longing for Maggie instead. Remember when I came home really late from that party? Yeah, I don’t want to recall it either since I would end up peeing my pants again. Your widened eyes were enough to stop me in my tracks. And don’t get me started on your patented look of disappointment, whenever I would leave home without running a comb through my hair.

All I’m saying is, let me make mistakes. Let me learn through my own slip-ups, since they would end up being the best source of enlightenment for me, in the long run. I know you’re just trying to protect me, but experience is the best teacher. You’ve taught me well, and so I would never do anything to disappoint you. But, please stop trying to prohibit me from doing things that you don’t approve of by scaring me!
