The posters for Padman have come out, and the wait for the movie is getting all more exciting.

The couple, Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, had surely worked as actors before but this was the first time Twinkle got behind the camera to zoom-in on her hubby. Twinkle has been actively involved in the movie’s production and is taking care even of the minute details.

A habit of Akshay that always irked her as a wife turned out to be good for her in shoes of a producer. Twinkle says, “Padman is my first production so I can’t really comment on what it’s like to be the producer of an Akshay Kumar starrer except to say that on this movie, the things I normally nag him about, like working too much, turned out to be an asset.”

Akshay, on the other hand, is an obedient producer’s actor and respects his wife’s new position. Loving her dedication, he says, “I felt even more responsible to deliver my best because she was behind this project. Padman is her baby right from the concept and she is totally involved all through, right to the marketing of the film.”

Akshay is very excited about the project and especially because it deals with a topic that is still categorized under taboo. He said, “This is something we are doing together for the first time and I am happy that it is not a mundane film but deals with a topic that people don’t touch upon, something that can truly impact lives and a story that will inspire people.”
