Wage-gap isn’t funny for Sarah Silverman, even though she is a comedian. She teamed up with Levo League to create a video called #Ask4More which talks about gender pay gap.

She reveals about the time when she was paid less than a male comedian for the same show: “He just got $60, and I just got $10. We did the exact same time back-to-back on the same show. It’s pretty shitty. If you work a job and a man is working the same job, you should be getting paid the same. I don’t think anyone’s asking for more than what’s fair.”

Do you also face the wage-gap at your workplace? It is a common issue worldwide with women working in almost every kind of profession. The wage gap only grows larger as women age, with women earning 90% of what men make until 35, after which they are paid 75–80% of what men are paid.

Sarah remarks: “I think as women, as a whole, if we can understand what we deserve… we can understand that we deserve quality lives. Go ahead, ask for more.”
