Paralyzed Woman Poses In Lingerie To Prove Disability Doesn’t Limit Sexuality. Do You Support Her Idea?

Have we degraded to that level of thinking where ‘sexy’ means showing off your body in lingerie? Guess we have.
Our society’s perception towards disabled people isn’t really good to talk about. Most of us think they aren’t ‘beautiful’. Leave along calling them ‘sexy’. Pissed from this mindset, public speaker and author Rachelle Friedman Chapman decided to come up with a fashion photoshoot showing herself covered only in her inner-wear.
When she was 24, she was paralyzed from the chest down after an accident back in 2010. The idea behind her photoshoot was to prove everyone that she too can look sexy and beautiful. The question here is – was lingerie the only weapon left to prove her point?
We support her but not at the cost of this kind of photoshoot. Call us old fashioned, but we feel sorry for the society we live in that encourages us to prove the righteous things in unconventional manner.
Take a look at Rachelle’s pictures:
She told The Huffington Post, “I think a lot of people have a hard time seeing through the wheelchair so here I am, this is me without the chair. But I’m actually the exact same person. I hope it will make people think that people with disabilities still have sexuality and honestly I’m tired of being something that we can’t talk about as a society.”
