Muslim Writer, Tarek Fatah: “There is something very admirable about the Indian women”

  • IWB Post
  •  August 4, 2015

Tarek Fatah, a 64-year old Muslim Canadian is a writer, broadcaster and activist, born in Pakistan. He recently visited India to write a book and his review on India after his 4-months trip is worth a watch!

To begin with, he defines India as a huge and phenomenal country where plenty of cultures diffuse together yet exist distinctively. He says that a whole lifetime would fall short if you were to see and understand the different facets that India has to offer. While he also pertinently brought out certain shortcomings of our nation, his views on Indian women is what caught our attention!

He explicitly mentions that Indian women will be the pioneer of change for India. If men were to sit home and the women were to take charge of the country, India would talk better, work better. “There is something very admirable about the Indian women; their writers, their newscasters, everyone! When men enter the scene, it seems like a storm is around the corner,” says the progressive activist.

Watch this interview to know the whole scoop!

Dear Mr. Fatah, thank you for the compliments that you have showered on us, Indian women! We look forward to reading your book. *Smiles*
