Kajol: I don’t want to go back in the spotlight

Do you love Kajol? Stupid question. Who doesn’t, after all.

Senorita’s next movie is in making with Shahrukh Khan. Certainly it is a topic of discussion. Not only because the famous ‘jodi’ is coming back on the big screen but also because Kajol is returning back after so many years!

Did we just say – returning back? Oops.

Calling this her comeback is a complete immoral thing to do. After marriage, Kajol has worked in blockbusters like ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘Fanaa’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, etc while giving special appearances in many including the ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Students Of The Year’.

When similar question was popped up by Vogue India this month, she sarcastically said, “My third comeback, yes.”

Her reasoning on why she prefers to take it slow is convincing. She tells, “I want to do a film as a treat, a holiday, and I have to believe in it to validate the time I spend away from my kids.”

She continues, “The truth is, I’m very happy not being in the spotlight, I don’t want to go back there either. I am a complete bitch in that state.”

Whoa, she is still the same. Quick yet sparkling.

With motherhood, this woman has matured and realized that acting can now be pursued as a ‘treat’, at that, fulfilling her passion at its deepest level leaving no space for guilt. She is wise to not get over-board with one thing while ignoring the other. That’s why we admire her so much. She is one of the best examples of a ‘balanced life’.

PS – We can’t wait to see her in ‘Dilwale‘, a recreation of 1995 blockbuster film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
