Bookaroo: Debjani Mukherjee Uses Mud & Stones For Telling Stories

  • IWB Post

On 30th April and 1st May, Jaipur saw a one-of-a-kind children’s literature festival, “Bookaroo.” It was bright and sunny, but the amazingly interesting sessions made us forget all about the heat!

Numerous authors and master story-tellers took Bookaroo by storm in all corners of Jawahar Kala Kendra. But, apart from listening to stories, the children had the liberty to attend creative art sessions too!

One such session was of Debjani Mukherjee, where children were being taught how to create beautiful seven-storied houses. After her session, JWB indulged in a little Q&A session with her!

About Debjani Mukherjee

She is an animation filmmaker, a researcher and an illustrator. She even co-founded “BOL”, the language of children.
