When Interns Were Tricked Into “Swach IWB Abhiyaan”

  • IWB Post
  •  January 20, 2016

Heard of exploitation in the name of organizational hierarchy? Everyone must have, Ha! Well, we the interns of JWB experienced it for the first time.

It was just another day in our office; we were quietly working like the dutiful little kids when a bomb dropped on us. Ana informed that Aashi and I had to clean the messy corner of our rooms. We turned around and glanced at the heaps of bags staring back at us, “Open us, Clean us.”  We were appalled, and Ana noticed it,

“Girls, Lavanya and Komal asked me to make you clean it.”

Hmmmmm… We smelled conspiracy!

Reluctantly or not, we had to agree. Obedient us!

Nevertheless, we decided to make the most of the moment. Ha-ha! *tilli-lilli*

That’s Me, Jayati!

Here’s presenting you the tale of two girls who discovered the forgotten chair. We attacked the pile of dirt with contagious good vibes! It was the moment to get our ‘swach’ pants on!

Aashi

While I looked out for plastic toys in heap-load, Aashi sorted the attractive looking stationery with child-like enthusiasm.

Lady Boss, Ana

No, Ana wasn’t helping us. She just rode the car and whoooosshhhh she went.  Like a Boss!

Lavanya

That’s Lavanya, the mastermind gorging away on our lunch while we dug deeper into the bags.

Only Vinod Bhaiya joined us. How sweet of him na!

JWB’s lazy bums

See those shameless spectators, enjoying the show with evil grins.

To you guys: Every Dog has his day!

Muahahaha!

Look at the bags. We sorted and categorized them as well – Props for activities, Classroom on wheels Stuff, Papers, and magazines, etc.IMG_2993

Me & Aashi

We even swept the floor clean. Sorry, it was just me, Aashi just posed *sticking out my tongue*

Komal & I

If this wasn’t enough, Komal even yelled, “I want that pillow. Place it on my back, now!”  The arrogance of a superior!

Good Vibes, Indeed!
