After 20 Painstaking Years Of Research, Scientist Eva Ramón Finds A 100% Cure For Cervical Cancer And HPV

As per World Health Organization (WHO), the leading cause of death among women cancer patients is cervical cancer, but thanks to a revolutionary development by Dr. Eva Ramón Gallegos, there is a solution to the once incurable disease. Along with her research team at Mexico’s National School of Biological Sciences (ENCB) of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Dr. Gallegos has found a 100% cure for cervical cancer.
Though it took 20 years of hard work, she finally cracked a cure for treating Human papillomavirus (or HPV) and preventing cervical cancer from spreading. With her team, she studied photodynamic therapy to fight HPV as this therapy has no side-effects on healthy cells.
“Unlike other treatments, it only eliminates damaged cells and does not affect healthy structures. Therefore, it has great potential to decrease the death rate from cervical cancer,” she said.
